I've been getting a lot of comments about the "Man in the Cab" photo that is posted in the Inauguration Gallery, and I feel like I should give the context behind the picture.

I spent the morning downtown taking pictures of the crowd, and by acceptance speech time, I was making my way back to my house. I had taken some great pictures, and figured the best shots of the day were behind me.

When Obama's speech began, traffic on many of the roads that were open came to a stop, and everyone had their car radios on. I stopped to listen.

When Obama finished speaking, the gentleman above got out of his cab, and let out an emotion which I can not even describe. I can feel it when I look at this picture, and is one of the photos I am most proud of as an amateur photographer.
